Today I had a disturbing encounter with a group of birds. I know the proper phrase is flock of birds, but I feel that group more accurately describes this assembly of birds. Somehow brings to mind obnoxious high schoolers, at least for me. But anyways, anyone who has seen Hitchcock's film The Birds will understand in what ways birds can be disturbing especially when in groups/flocks/assemblies. "Why are the birds gathering?" Yes, I ask the same. Shouldn't the birds be gone already? Flown south for a little warmth? If they aren't willing to take this freezing opportunity I will take it for them.
A group of birds followed me today. They skipped down a row of trees until they saw that I was at my apartment and then they just disassembled and flew away. Very strange. I stopped, they stopped. I continued, they continued. I was their leader. I felt meaningful and disturbed all at the same time. Also I have this fear of getting pooped on by a bird. It will most likely happen in my lifetime and I feel unprepared for it. It is silly when you laugh at my fear because I am pretty sure we all have some kind of anxiety about being pooped on. The fact is we have a better chance of being pooped on by a bird than by any other creature/person. So any large group of birds and I get nervous. My chances for getting pooped on are raised! I swear I saw the white streaks falling from their little bodies towards the ground...very unnerving.
The last thing I need during finals weeks is anxiety about bird waste.

so, since i've already been blessed by birdie doo doo, does that means i no longer have to fear it? cause i'm still wary when driving in a car with a sunroof, or a convertable. if i was a bird, i would totally make a game of aiming for those moving objects with the holes in the top...hehe.
