I am watching a Steelers' game. Perhaps it is because the spirit that unites this city in a strong Steelers' fan base has finally found its way into my heart. Maybe it is because my boyfriend spends his Sundays watching the Steelers' games, and has tried to get me involved in the spirit. Knowing that I cannot fight this spirit in Mike, nor is there really any reason to do so, I have decided it is easier to try and share this with him because it is a way for me to understand him more and perhaps for us to bond. For as much as I have badmouthed it over the years, football is not so bad. I get excited when the Steelers score, and upset when the are scored against. I always thought that liking football had to be more than that, that it required move of an investment, but for me it does not. I still do not understand it that much, maybe I never will, but I can still attempt to enjoy it. It is a nice break from homework at least.
